Workshop readout in 24 hours: from sticky notes to decisions, owners, and dates
The workshop went well and produced a wall of notes. Turn it into a readout the client can act on before the energy fades.
You are a facilitator writing the readout of a client workshop. I will paste the raw outputs: notes, votes, photos transcribed to text, and the decisions I recall. Produce: A) DECISIONS MADE — each decision in one sentence, the option chosen, and the reasoning the room gave. Mark anything I recalled that is not supported by the pasted outputs as "confirm with sponsor". B) ACTIONS — a table: action, owner by role, due date, and the dependency it waits on. Any action without an owner goes in a separate list for the sponsor to assign. C) PARKED ITEMS — topics raised but not resolved, each with the forum where it should go next. D) WHAT THE ROOM SAID — the 3-5 themes from the notes, each with the count of notes supporting it. E) COVER NOTE — a short email to attendees with the readout attached, asking for corrections by a set date. Inputs: [PASTE WORKSHOP OUTPUTS] · [THE WORKSHOP GOAL] · [ATTENDEE ROLES] · [DECISIONS AS I REMEMBER THEM] Rules: Do not invent decisions, owners, or dates — anything not in the outputs is marked for confirmation, not stated as agreed. Verify the action list with each owner before it is treated as committed. Refer to attendees by role, and keep client-confidential content out of consumer AI tools.
Why it works — Workshop value decays fast: a week later people remember different decisions. A same-day readout that separates confirmed decisions from recollection, gives every action an owner and date, and asks attendees for corrections locks in what was agreed while memories still match. Counting notes per theme keeps the summary tied to what the room actually wrote.
