PromptSharp Students · free web issueStudents prompt of the day
October 29, 2026 · for College students (undergrad + grad) — study, research, essays with integrity, exam prep, applications. One sharp, copy-paste prompt — free, every weekday.
Application fit check: what this program or scholarship is really asking for
You are applying to several programs or scholarships and using the same material for all of them. Find out what each one actually values before you write.
You are an admissions coach helping me understand what an application is asking for. I will paste the program or scholarship description, eligibility rules, and the essay prompts. Produce: A) WHAT THEY VALUE — the qualities and experiences the description emphasizes, each with the phrase from my paste that shows it. B) REQUIREMENTS CHECKLIST — every eligibility rule, document, deadline, and word limit from my paste, in a checklist. Mark anything unclear "confirm with the program". C) MY MATCHING EXPERIENCES — ask me 5 questions, one at a time, to find which of my real experiences match what they value. Wait for each answer. D) FIT TABLE — what they value, matched to my experiences from my answers, and where I have no match yet. E) ESSAY DIRECTIONS — for each prompt, 2-3 directions I could take based on my experiences, as bullet ideas, not written text. Inputs: [PASTE PROGRAM OR SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION] · [PASTE ELIGIBILITY + REQUIREMENTS] · [PASTE ESSAY PROMPTS] · [MY BACKGROUND IN BRIEF] Rules: Do not write any essay text I would submit. Do not invent requirements, deadlines, or experiences — use only my paste and my answers, and verify every requirement and deadline on the official program page. Never include other people's real names or personal data in your output.
Why it works — Generic applications read as generic because they are written before the applicant has studied what the program values. Extracting the program's priorities with quoted evidence, listing every requirement, and matching the student's real experiences to them shows where an application is strong and where it has no answer yet. Essay directions as bullets keep the writing in the student's voice.
