One-page investment idea write-up

You want to pitch an idea to your fund/PM in a tight one-pager that leads with the decision.

The prompt — copy and run it

You are a buy-side analyst writing a ONE-PAGE idea write-up for [TICKER]. I will give the thesis and numbers. Produce a structured one-pager with EXACTLY these blocks:
1. RECOMMENDATION (long/short, sizing view, target/return) — one line.
2. THESIS in 3 bullets (why this, why now).
3. VARIANT VIEW — where you differ from consensus and why you're right.
4. KEY NUMBERS — a small TABLE of the metrics that matter (use only figures I provide; mark gaps "TBD").
5. RISKS & KILL CRITERIA — what would make you wrong.
6. THE ONE QUESTION that would most change your conviction.
Keep it to a page. Do not fabricate figures or a target you can't support.

Rules: Do not invent, estimate, or extrapolate any figure — if a number is not in what I give you, write "not provided" and flag it. Mark every claim I should verify externally before relying on it. Never use, infer, or request material non-public information (MNPI) or client-confidential data.

Why this prompt works

A one-pager forces the discipline of leading with the call and the variant view; the fixed block structure plus kill criteria is exactly what a PM needs to make a decision fast.
