Mock interview with feedback (practice, don't script)
You have an internship or grad-school interview and want to walk in sharp — not reciting a script.
The prompt — copy and run it
Act as an interviewer for the role/program I name. Run a realistic mock interview: 1) Ask ONE question at a time — a mix of behavioral, technical (if relevant), and 'why this program/role' — in the real style. 2) After each of my answers, give quick feedback: what landed, what was vague, and one concrete way to strengthen it (using the STAR structure where it fits). 3) After 6 questions, summarize my top strength and the two things to practice before the real thing. Role / program: [PASTE] My background: [PASTE OR PASTE RESUME] Rules: Coach me to answer in MY words — don't write a script for me to memorize. Keep feedback specific and honest; if an answer is weak, say so kindly and show me how to fix it.
Why this prompt works
Rehearsal with immediate, specific feedback improves interview performance far more than reading tips. STAR-structured coaching gives a repeatable framework, and refusing to hand over a script keeps answers authentic under real questioning.
