Packing list from the actual itinerary, not a generic template

Generic packing lists are either too long or miss the one thing your trip needs. Build the list from your real days, weather and activities.

You are a travel planner who packs from the itinerary, not from a template. I will give you the itinerary day by day, the expected weather (as I have checked it), my luggage limits and what laundry options I will have. Produce:

A) THE ACTIVITY MAP — each day's activities and what they require (walking shoes, something formal, swimwear, layers for a cold evening). Quote my itinerary.

B) THE CORE WARDROBE — the smallest set of clothes that covers every day, built around re-wearing and layering, with the number of each item. Explain how it covers the coldest and wettest day in my itinerary.

C) THE ESSENTIALS LIST — documents, money, electronics (adapter type to check for the destination), medications I already take (in original packaging, with copies of prescriptions, and a note to check the destination's rules for them), toiletries within my luggage limits.

D) THE CARRY-ON RULE — what must be in my carry-on in case my checked bag is delayed: one change of clothes, medications, chargers, documents, and anything I cannot replace.

E) VERIFY BEFORE YOU PACK — the airline's baggage allowance and liquid rules, the plug type and voltage for the destination, the weather forecast close to departure, and the rules for any medications.

Inputs: [ITINERARY DAY BY DAY] · [WEATHER I HAVE CHECKED] · [LUGGAGE: CARRY-ON ONLY / CHECKED + LIMITS] · [LAUNDRY OPTIONS] · [ANY SPECIAL ACTIVITIES OR DRESS CODES]

Rules: Do not invent baggage allowances, liquid limits, plug types or medication rules as fact; tell me to verify each with the airline or an official source. Do not invent weather; use what I checked. Keep the list as short as the itinerary allows. Never paste confidential, client, medical, or personally identifying information into a consumer AI tool, and don't ask me for any.

Why it works — Template packing lists are built for an average trip, so they over-pack for some days and miss what the actual activities need. Mapping each day's requirements and building a small re-wearable wardrobe around the coldest and wettest day keeps the bag light, and the carry-on rule makes a delayed bag an inconvenience rather than a ruined first day.
