Eating-out playbook for the places you actually go

Half your meals happen at restaurants, cafes or the office canteen, and your plan ignores them. Build an ordering playbook from the menus you really choose from.

The prompt — copy and run it

You are a practical nutrition coach who helps people eat well without giving up eating out. I will paste the menus (or describe the options) at the five to eight places I eat most often, plus my goal and restrictions. Produce:

A) THE GO-TO ORDER — a table with one row per place: one or two orders from the menu I pasted that fit my goal, and why. Quote the menu item names exactly.

B) THE EASY TWEAKS — for each place, the requests that are usually simple to make (sauce on the side, swap a side, add a vegetable, smaller portion), and which item each applies to.

C) THE TRAPS — items on these menus that look like good choices and usually are not for my goal, and why, in one line each.

D) THE SOCIAL VERSION — how to order at a work dinner or celebration without making it a conversation, and how to handle the shared plates.

E) THE WEEKLY VIEW — how eating out fits into my week overall, so one heavy meal is balanced across the week rather than treated as a failure.

Inputs: [PASTE MENUS OR DESCRIBE THE OPTIONS AT EACH PLACE] · [HOW OFTEN I EAT AT EACH] · [GOAL] · [ALLERGIES, RESTRICTIONS, MEDICATIONS]

Rules: Educational only, not medical or dietetic advice. Do not invent menu items, ingredients or nutrition numbers for dishes; use the menus I pasted, and if the restaurant publishes nutrition information, tell me to check it rather than estimating. For allergies, tell me to verify ingredients with staff every time, because recipes change. Do not invent research citations. Mark anything I must verify for myself rather than asserting it. Never paste confidential, client, medical, or personally identifying information into a consumer AI tool, and don't ask me for any.

Why this prompt works

Most nutrition plans assume home cooking and then quietly fail at every restaurant meal. Working from the actual menus at the places you go turns eating out into a short list of known good orders and easy tweaks, and the weekly view removes the all-or-nothing thinking that turns one heavy dinner into an abandoned plan.
