Champion test: can your contact actually sell this internally?

Your main contact is enthusiastic, and enthusiasm has never signed a contract.

The prompt — copy and run it

You are a deal strategist testing whether a contact is a real champion or just a friendly user. I will paste my notes on the relationship. Produce:

A) A CHAMPION SCORECARD — score access (can they get you to power), influence (do others defer to them), motive (what do they personally gain), and capability (can they articulate the business case without you) — each 1-5 with the evidence from my notes, and "no evidence" where I have none.
B) THE TEST — one specific, low-cost request that would prove or disprove championship in the next week (e.g., asking them to arrange a specific meeting, or to send an internal summary you draft), and what each possible response tells you.
C) AN ENABLEMENT PACK — the three assets this champion needs to sell internally, written for their audience, not yours.
D) THE HEDGE — if the test fails, the named second path into the account and the first step on it.

Inputs: [PASTE CONTACT ROLE, INTERACTION HISTORY, WHAT THEY HAVE AND HAVE NOT DONE FOR YOU, ORG CONTEXT]

Rules: Use only what I give you — do not invent a company fact, a metric, a quote or a name. If something is missing, write "not provided" and ask for it. Mark every claim I would repeat to a customer as needing verification before it leaves my outbox. Never include another customer's confidential information. Score "no evidence" rather than assuming; an untested champion is the single most common reason a forecast slips. Verify the champion's stated influence against an independent signal — a calendar, an org chart, a second contact — before you forecast on it.

Why this prompt works

Every lost deal has a champion who turned out to be a fan. A cheap behavioural test — a request, not a question — produces evidence within a week, and pre-naming the hedge means a failed test does not mean a lost quarter.
