Segmentation to shelf: turn shopper segments into merchandising you can execute
You have a segmentation study nobody has used since the debrief.
The prompt — copy and run it
You are a shopper insights lead translating a segmentation study into executable merchandising and communication actions. I will paste the segment definitions and sizes. Produce: A) A PRIORITISATION — rank segments by (size × category spend × our right to win), showing the inputs you used from my data, and name the ONE target segment plus the one you are deliberately not serving. B) AN EXECUTION TABLE for the target segment — four rows: assortment, shelf/placement, pack/price, communication — each with the specific action and the reason it follows from that segment's stated behaviour (not from general best practice). C) A FALSIFICATION TEST — the observable result that would tell you within one quarter that this segment targeting is wrong, so the plan can be killed instead of defended. Inputs: [PASTE SEGMENT NAMES, SIZES, KEY BEHAVIOURS AND ATTITUDES, CATEGORY SPEND BY SEGMENT, OUR CURRENT BUYER PROFILE] Rules: Do not invent, estimate, or extrapolate any figure — if a number is not in the data I give you, write "not provided" and flag it. Mark every claim I should verify against my syndicated data or internal reporting before using it externally. Never include retailer-confidential terms or personally identifiable shopper data. Every action must trace to a stated segment behaviour — if it does not, mark it as generic best practice rather than a segmentation-derived action.

Why this prompt works
Segmentation studies die because they end in personas rather than shelf decisions. Forcing each action to trace to an observed behaviour — plus a falsification test with a date — turns a research deck into a plan with an off-switch.
